About Me

My upbringing and background are relevant to support my belief and desire to train with you and train you. My father was an avid amateur competitor in many sports and a true lover of outdoors and an explorer of nature. At age eight, I "accidentally" dug up several crates full of medals and plaques in our workshop, all of which my father have earned in competitions in different sports, including track & field, the decathlon, boxing, kayaking, swimming and even sports photography. This discovery inspired me for the rest of my life and ignited the spark of a natural athlete that I hadn't known I was. I ran to my father and asked him to sign me up to run in a cross country competition. He laughed and sat me down for a "serious" talk. To put it simply, he told me that having a desire to compete is great, but most likely not enough to take me to the elite league of athletes and will end up leaving me with disappointment and failure after years of hard work and training. This was a blow to me but fortunately I had inherited a stubborn streak and wanted to compete at least once. To my father's great surprise I won a gold medal in the event - even after getting lost in the woods for several minutes.

I was immediately enrolled in a specialized school for future athletes and stayed with it throughout high school. In addition to our chosen field of training we were introduced to and tested in other sports such as gymnastics, swimming, biking, skiing and many others. The load was large, both physically and mentally, and the trials were endless covering academics and athletics equally. But as long as I stayed focused and stuck with my training all else seemed to fall into place and I managed not only to meet every challenge, but to actually excel. Running track I consistently placed in the top three, and although I did not in the end choose to pursue a professional athletic career, I have gained a strong sense of self-discipline and an unquenchable thirst for challenge.

After moving to the United States at the end of 1989 I stopped competing in sports altogether, instead focusing on establishing a new life in the New World. I joined the Army to explore my skills and gain an edge from which to finish my studies and regain my fitness and discipline level. I excelled in all aspects of training and even completed training with the famous 101st Airborne at the very challenging Air Assault School during my three-year commitment.

Since I completed my stint in the military, I have engineered a new exercise routine that I follow in the early morning before my day starts, and I have once again found fulfillment in competing again in various road races, adventure races and half marathons. I truly enjoy the outdoors: kayaking, biking, hiking and everything else besides, but I also incorporate strength training and track routines for a balanced exercise regimen. I feel energized and young at heart and in spirit, and genuinely motivated to empower others to feel the same. The essential factor is to help you discover whatever it is that motivates you to improve on your own past performance, and the most important goal we pursue is to fulfill your own personal potential while remaining adhering to the limits of your own body. In short, I want to help you attain the best shape you've ever been in, making you leaner, fitter, stronger - all the while remaining pain- and injury-free.

I am fortunate to have found my passion in life. I'd like to share this passion with you.

It is personal development with the aid of physical fitness for an all encompassing well- being. Fitness and training incorporated and adapted offers much more than fitting nicely into clothes, being able to eat your favorite foods, or having more energy to get through the day. It is all documented and published in every magazine and fitness article, I don't think it necessary to repeat here what you already know. You might be surprised, however, to see the effects of your commitment in everyday life: The respect and admiration you'll invoke, the inspiration you'll provide, and the legacy you'll pass on. I wish I could tell you how exciting and fulfilling this commitment of yours will prove to be but for now, just trust me, and let me help you get moving!
